Thierry Henry repeats wisdom of listening to the body
In a second recent interview, Strength for Life's favourite Body-Wisdom enlightened sports star, Thierry Henry, reiterates his philosophy of listening to one's body.
Having first mentioned the wisdom in October 2005, which Strength for Life has long been an advocate of since our original interview with its founder, David Heard, we have been interested to follow how consistently Thierry applies this practice.
We have observed that he clearly understands and displays an inner knowing of the importance of listening to the body.
The Arsenal footballer, who won the World Cup with France in 1998, admitted that he had not quite been listening to himself enough recently to face up to the fact that his body was not right to play.
He likened the exchange of messages with his own self as those experienced when falling asleep in front of a bad movie and trying to pretend its not so bad.

He went on to admit that he doesn't always get the process of listening to his body spot on.
"You have to read the right signals in your body. One thing I have found difficult to do is to listen to my body. I need to do that."
We have found that the art of listening to the runes of one's own body comes with consistent attention and awareness, so there's no concern just because a top sports star misses a message once in a while.
